The Spelsberg Abox 025-2.5² (part number 80240701) is a grey surface junction box measuring 80 × 80 × 52 mm, rated IP65 to EN 60529 and built to DIN EN 60670 (VDE 0606). The box and lid are polystyrene and it is supplied with a 5-pole screw terminal block for conductors up to 2.5 mm², taking four 1.5 mm² or four 2.5 mm² conductors per pole. Rated insulation voltage is 690 V AC.
Cable entry is through eight M20 knock-out positions (two on top, two each side, one on the bottom and one in the rear) fitted with soft self-sealing TPE membranes that seal on cables from 2 to 16 mm diameter. The box can be sealed, is PVC-free and silicone-free, and the material passes the 650 °C glow-wire test (VDE 0471 / EN 60695). Ambient range is -25 °C to +40 °C; it is not declared weather-resistant.
