The Orbis ALPHA D (OB270023) is an analogue 24-hour time switch for 230V AC 50/60Hz supplies. Programming is set on a front dial with 96 captive tappets, giving a 15 minute minimum switching time and a setting accuracy of plus or minus 5 minutes. Output is a single changeover contact rated 16(4)A at 250V AC, with maximum recommended loads of 2000W incandescent, 2000W 230V halogen, 1200VA fluorescent and 100VA LED. A three-position switch selects automatic, off or permanent on. The ALPHA D is the daily model without power reserve, so timekeeping follows the mains frequency. The 72 x 72mm front housing can be surface mounted, fitted to DIN rail or built into a panel, with an overall depth of 55mm. It is rated IP20, Class II when correctly mounted, operates from -10 to 50°C and conforms to EN 60730-1 and EN 60730-2-7.
