The Megger MFT-X1 is a firmware-upgradeable multifunction tester for low voltage installations, covering commissioning, periodic inspection and fault finding on single and three-phase systems, including EV charge points and domestic PV. Loop testing uses True Loop™ 2-wire and 3-wire non-trip technology with the Confidence Meter™, giving 0.001 Ω resolution in high-resolution mode and 50 kA fault current calculation. Insulation testing runs at 50, 100, 250, 500 and 1000 V DC plus a variable 50–999 V, with a stabilised output of -0% +2% +2 V. RCD testing covers Types AC, A, B and their S variants, 6 mA RDC devices, configurable auto-sequences and ramp tests from 10 mA to 1000 mA. Earth testing includes 2-wire, 3-wire, ART and stakeless methods. Results transfer by Bluetooth® to CertSuite™. The MFT-X1 is rated CAT III 600 V / CAT IV 300 V, housed to IP54 and powered by a 4400 mAh Li-ion battery pack.
