The Knipex TubiX 90 31 02 SB is a pipe cutter for tube from 6 to 35 mm (1⁄4” to 1 3⁄8”) diameter with a wall thickness of up to 2 mm. It cuts copper, brass and stainless steel tube, and Knipex also rates it for cutting rigid steel conduit in electrical installation work.
The QuickLock mechanism lets the cutting wheel be pushed up to the tube with one hand for quick adjustment between sizes, with independent holding and clamping on the tube. The cutting wheel is made of ball-bearing steel, and both the wheel and the guide rollers run on needle bearings. A spare cutting wheel is stored in the handle and can be fitted without tools, and a removable, precision-ground deburring tool is built in. The housing is magnesium. The cutter measures 180 x 65 x 40 mm and weighs 375 g.
