The Chint NU6-IIG 65kA/385V 2P (article 252529) is a Test Class II (Type 2) surge protective device for protecting 230/400V AC, 50/60Hz low-voltage distribution systems against transient overvoltages. This two-pole version has a maximum continuous operating voltage of 385V, a nominal discharge current of 30kA and a maximum discharge current of 65kA on the 8/20µs waveform, with a voltage protection level of 2.0kV and a short-circuit current rating of 10kA.
It is built from a base and a removable protective module: the module can be replaced without cutting off the circuit, Uc coding prevents a wrong module being fitted, and the indicator shows green when healthy and red when the module needs replacing. This version has no remote signalling contact (that is the /F version). It mounts on 35mm DIN rail, is 36mm (two modules) wide, and complies with IEC/EN 61643-11.
