The Chint NCH8-20⁄02 (article 256053) is a DIN-rail modular contactor with 2NC contacts and a 220/230V AC coil, for switching heating, lighting and similar loads in distribution boards. It is rated 20A in AC-1/AC-7a and 9A in AC-7b (household motor loads) at 230 V, equivalent to 4 kW AC-1/AC-7a, 1.2 kW AC-7b, with a conventional thermal current of 25A.
Chint list it as operating without noise (no coil hum). The coil picks up at 85-110% and releases at 20-75% of rated voltage. Electrical life is 100,000 operations (AC-1/AC-7a) and mechanical life 1,000,000; insulation voltage is 500V and impulse withstand 4kV. It is 18 mm (1 module) wide, IP20, with terminals for 1-4 mm², 0.8 Nm, and complies with IEC/EN 61095 and IEC 60947-4-1. The contactor is not designed to break short-circuit currents.
