Ener-J is a UK-originating brand specialising in smart home automation, with a product range covering home security, wireless control, and connected heating. The brand sits in the consumer-to-trade crossover space, producing devices designed for straightforward domestic installation rather than commercial or industrial applications.

Ener-J is known in the electrical trade for supplying electricians and contractors with the kind of connected accessories that end up in smart home upgrades and new-build residential fit-outs. Their products are built around Wi-Fi and 433MHz wireless protocols, with select accessories also carrying Zigbee compatibility.

The Kinetic switch range is a notable part of their trade offering — battery-free wireless switches that harvest energy from the switching action itself, removing the need for wiring back to a receiver. These are commonly used where retrofitting conventional switching would be impractical.

Ener-J’s smart home accessories include wireless video doorbells with 1080p HD cameras, motion detection, and two-way audio; battery-powered security cameras with a 120° field of view, 10m night vision, and IP65 weatherproofing; 13A Wi-Fi smart plugs with energy monitoring and app control; and infrared heating panels ranging from 350W to 1200W with app-based thermostat control. The Kinetic switch range covers one-gang, two-gang, and multi-way battery-free wireless switches, operating on 433MHz with an indoor range of up to 30m.
